The process of pearl farming began in the sea. Oysters Lombok is not well understood in agriculture; young oysters have been found in the wild and collected by divers on the seabed off the northeast coast of Lombok. On board the boat with pearls, oysters are counted, cleaned and weighed, then placed in a metal window frame sized between layers of nylon netting. Panel hold between six and eight shells.
