I like his corn crib. A wonderful, simple, low tech, "value added", small farm project.

I may be wrong but cutting the ends off the mushroom that's where the mycelium is isnt it?
mushrooms are self perpetuating surely?? -
Great work if this is scaled up. More meaningful results will be realised. Africa needs strategies for mass production

That was awesome.

I wanna know where they get those bags? What kind exactly are they?

What is the temperature in the area where these mushroomswere grown. Would this technique work somewhere like the Southeast united States (North Florida or South Georgia)?

yes you are correct, do NOT spray while fruiting.spraying is to simulate a rainy cold night to (shock)initiate fruiting, also known as dunking completely submerge mycelium in cold water for 2 to 12 hours simulating rainy night.you can have the bottom of you bag or cakes sitting in water or on perlite or hydro-ton. or inject cold water directly into mycelium instead of spraying outer surface that is already pining.

Hello I got a question about watering. I saw in the video that you were watering the top of the bags with a spray. It is before mushrooms start to grow (just after placing the bag in the fruiting room right ?). Because I read that after, during growing period, you need to NOT WATER DIRECTLY the mushrooms (it could damage them) but to spray around to increase humidity level...
Can you help me with this watering issue please ? Thanks by advance ! -
merci de cette vidéo peut on nous aider à démarrer une champignonnière en tunisie

it's best to come for an expert to train the group and the skills and knowledge remains with the trainees. or better still call the project coordinator on 0233244366350

That barrel is enough to sterilize those bags? No Pressure Cooker needed? The open jar filled with spawn isn't going to contaminate as soon as you open it? Cotton is organic and can transmit contaminates when wet shouldn't polyfill be used?

Great Video. Inspirational. I am part of an organisation that teaches on holistic health solutions. Our mandate is to eradicate lifestyle diseases. We attempted at such a project. We would really love to teach people these skills here in South Africa. What can we do just to get it going?
