Ooty Udhagamandalam Nilgris Hillstation

Ooty or Udhagamandalam is called the Queen of Hill Stations in Nilgris which is surrounded by hills of height varying between 2280-2290m.Eucalyptus,pine,coffee and tea plantations cover the rolling hills of Nilgris also called the Blue Mountains.Ooty has may tourist interests like lake,boatride,pykara lake,highest peak Doddpetta,botonical garden,viewpoints,tea garden,coffee plantations etc.,Nearest hill stations are Coonoor(19kms) and Kotagiri(31kms).Another important one is Nilgris Mountain Railway which is plying between Mettupalayam and Ooty which is UNESCO declared World Heritage asset.Nearest airport and busy rail head Coimbatore is about 98kms,Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary 60kms.
