Neena and Atto testify to success raising 70+ sows without a smell in mountain view Hawai'i. no-smell, no problems! the biggest struggle for them, like me, is the feed. in korea there are mountains of rice hull. here, we need 'ulu, mai'a, cassava and ko. now, you're not really a pig farmer, cause it's easy, just put the food in. the inoculated deep litter system does all the cleaning for you. in reality you're a farmer for the pigs. growing their food now. i think there will be a breakthrough in the industry when we are able to utilize available 'waste' streams. atto is using the cake from his oil palms. 3,500 palms. produce 600 gallons of oil each. then he can feed the left overs to the pig by dissolving it with sodium hydrochlorate? i think that's what he said. sounds like he need more fermentation? everyone in korea was doing some sort of 'composting' of their feed. hmmm... more to research and perfect. consider joining the farmers union. support you're local grower.
