Nitrates in farming manure are polluting water and farmland
Environmentalists and conservationists are concerned about the damage that nitrate-rich manure has been doing to people and the farms it is used on. Lindsay France reports on the controversy from California and details how the manure is polluting water and farmland. I don't know if it's accurate information but read in 2002 that cow or bovine manure has little for nitrates while chicken/fowl manure has a lot. I also learned that some food crops need higher acidity and, if recalling correctly, then nitrates are a solution. The latter crops include tomatoes and peppers, f.e.
However, one way to correct the problem this video is about is to stop raising or farming a lot of large animals. This planet isn't "designed" for such farming to begin with. -
Thank you RT for this series on food.

Animal farming is causing dead zones in the ocean. Massive deforestation, desertification &creates as much Green house gas as all transportation of the world. Animal farming is torture for the animals and those cows lives are horrific. Please do not support the dairy industry or any other industry that exploits animals. It is very unhealthy in so many ways.

The US government's & central bank's subsidies, regulations, loans, tax evasion, off-shore banking, lobbyists, insider deals, and revolving doors are designed to favor major corporations over independent or autonomous businesses. This is the Zionist US kleptocracy's power grab disguised as capitalism or free markets.

What about all the human waste????????

Become vegetarians :) Solved

The Government should be required to build these nitrates to gas centers this is a public health risk
-
The USA's medical industry must be happy knowing this! A promising rocket profits in the future. More (American) patients, more profits!

Easy, easy fix..... Drink almond or soy or oat or rice milk. Go vegan, for health, the animals, the environment. So, so simple. No, no brainer.

You can put a methane capture system together for the cost of digging a hole and laying some concrete and laying it over the form of a dome, at the top of which you have your methane release valve system. The whole thing could be built for a couple grand to start. Why would she ask a guy who knows nothing about methane sequestration how much it would cost? This is inane.

Mom and pop farms are almost all but gone, now the biggest corporate farms are after the medium sized guys.
Did you notice, there was no mention of synthetic fertilizer, and pesticide runoff? Hmm wonder why?
Simple solution, compost manure before applying, use drip irrigation put the fertilizer and water where it belongs.
foliar feeding is another option.nutrients are absorbed by the leaves, and a lot less gets into the ground.
Inoculate your plant roots with beneficial mychorhizal funi, they bring nutrients and water to the roots, making better efficient use of fertilizers, ( you can use a lot less. )
Use swales on property to prevent run off into rivers.
As for Methane, that is ridiculous what they said in the video. just do a search for biodigester.
simple description of how this works.
you put your manure, and any other organic waste into a underground tank, that tank has bacteria that break down the manure, the results, you get fertilizer out one end , and methane out the other, both usable products. I have seen systems that just pipe the methane to heat homes, run equipment, and even lighting, keep the pigs warm in the winter.
At minimum, capture draining ditches could be put in strategic places, where run off can go, let the algae take care of the nitrates.
what this really is about is an attack on medium size farms by the big industrial factory farms. -
Over 1 million dollars to convert into gas and freshwater but only based on one idiot farmer who couldn't DIY cheaper but depended on a tech scammer.

Another reason to avoid eating meat.
My protein comes from nuts, beans and rice, lentils, garbanzo beans, etc. -
