This is a waste of time. You're creating anaerobic bacteria here. Good soil is aerobic and mostly occupied by aerobic bacteria and fungi. The hyphea he's talking about isn't fungi. It's an anaerobic bacteria. The reason this gets any results is because when these bacteria are placed into the soil a bunch of anaerobic and aerobic bacteria are killed off releasing nutrients into the soil. You do this to much and you're going to make your soil acidic and anaerobic. Not a good practice.

I don't have access to wheat bran or rice bran. Do you have any other suggestions as to what I might be able to use or can I skip this step and mix it into soil and or biochar?
