Naeem Qazi - Pakistani Greenhouse Farmer

Pakistani farmer and grower Naeem Qazi was one of the first to build a greenhouse with a steerable climate in his country. In order to learn the ins and outs of greenhouse cultivation he went all the way to Holland to follow a training course at GreenQ (Now Delphy) in The Hague. We published an article on his venture a year ago, but now also Express News, the large national Urdu TV channel in Pakistan, has paid attention to Naeem's drive for controlled environment agriculture. In the video, Naeem explains that he became interested in greenhouse farming as a result of the fact that his open field crops could only provide him with an income for three months per year. After his father dead, he remembered his father advice to adopt new and modern farming techniques. He got in touch with a group who selected him to travel to Holland to follow a training on controlled environment agriculture. In Holland he learned all the inns and outs on greenhouse growing. When he got back in Pakistan he translated this knowledge into his own greenhouse farm. Later he traveled all the way to Kansan State University in the U.S. in order to learn more on efficient irrigation techniques for his open field farm. This has made him now one of the most practical and efficient farmers in his region and he shares his knowledge with colleague farmers.
