My Trip to India - Part III: Kerala - The Elephants of Thekkady
Song: Edi Aa Vennela from the Movie: Manchivadu - Singer : Karthik Kerala is an indian state located on the Malabar coast of south-west India and it is nicknamed as "God's Own Country". We are here in Thekkady, which is located 185 kilometers from Cochin International airport. It took us 6 hours of driving to reach here -- but it was so worth it. Thekkady has the most dense, evergreen, amazing forests I have ever seen in my life. It is considered a heaven for natural spices and tea plantations. It is also the home to herds of elephants -- so of course, I had to come here! Enjoy!

people who are commenting "rope around the elephant" must understand its not human skin its one of the tough skins in animal kingdom.....and elephants in Kerala are not just another animal it gets more importance than a human being....here in Kerala they r like another human being....if u see the treatment they receive u all will wish u were elephant not humans....yes of-course it is wild animal should stay in jungle blah blah blah....here elephant is another living being part and parcel of Kerala society.....without elephants there will be a big empty space in kerala society

It is a Tamil song, you should have added a Malayalam song instead since you are here at Kerala. And in kerala there are 14 district, with specific tourism importance to each of it. Thekkady (Idukki Dist) is just one.
