Mount Matang Sri Maha Mariamman India Temple at Kuching, Borneo.
http://wilsonchin.blogspot.com/2012/09/mount-matang-maha-mariamman-temple.html This is the second time I visited this place, after the renovation, the temple become bigger, newer, and prettier. It took us about 40 minutes to reach the temple, and before entering the temple, we need to take out our shoes, wash our feat, hands, and face. I finish my water when climbing the hill, so I also drank the tab water. So refreshing!!! I ask for permission to take video, the prise approve, just told me not to enter the main altar where the main god sit at. A very nice place, it was windy, and I am able to view the matang village from up there. No wonder back in the old days, the Brook chooses this place to do his tea plantation.

it this located before the bridge and there is a Matang Mosque?

Wilson, I sometimes see Matang spelt "Mantang". Is there a reason some people are adding that "n"? Is "Matang" more proper?

Thanks Michael.

you can go anytime you want, no permit needed. Look at Mount Mike near the Matang Mosque area on your left.
