Farmers in parts of Central Kenya have been uprooting tea bushes and replacing them with other crops or commercial buildings. One such farmer in Muranga is reaping big from a tomato-tree farm that was previously a occupied by tea. many say that they have been frustrated out of tea trade by by high cost of production and low returns.
