Milking process, Dairy process, Cowstable near Indore, 2013, India, very cruel process, very sad
The Milking process: The calf is separated from the mother cows with around 20 other cows in a seperate stable. Than the milk man opends the door and calls one calf by onther. The calf is running to the mother to drink on her udder. But only 1 minute, than the calf is teared apart. The calf is not allowed to drink, because the milk man comes to melk the mother. You really can see how sad the calf is.

you are making it sound cruel
if this big calf is allowed to drink milk directly he
can tear cow's udder or tit.
and calfs are able to
eat solid food so a big part of their food comes from solid fodder and definitely this is a dairY and its all being done for profit.
however there are definitely some cruel thins in dairy that i definitely dont support but milking the cow for milk is not one of them. -
what we sud do then?

hahhaha oh my gosh this is such a funny video! That calf is just fine! Don't you see how fat and healthy it is? It's coat is very shiny as well. A dairy cow will make way too much milk for a calf to drink alone. The poor thing would scour if it tried to drink it all! Here in the USA we feed the calf with a bottle but it is nice to let the calf drink straight from it's mom if you are set up for that. Anyway you guys are being very silly because you don't have a very good understanding of what you are looking at.

I concur with views shared in some comments that in relative terms some family home and dairy farms, organizations in India try to take care of domestic cattle. There also exist some farms (and organizations) in other countries who treat well domestic breeds and practice sustainable agriculture. This confines only to the segment of people who have concerns towards the cattle (and/or other animals, birds) for varied reasons. Else factory farming and animal agriculture of domestic breeds practiced in any part of world are generally less sympathetic purely due to commercial reasons.
Information exposed in the content of the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5Z_NBADJpk must not be overlooked. I am delighted that organizations such as VSPCA and Animals Angels are making an effort. Many such organizations work across the globe for various similar and different causes. One can debate relative terms of cruelty. We should not forget that any animal or bird has emotions, can think and go through similar suffering like humans. Hence, any action that leads to painful experiences is cruel.
Please, watch completely the following two important documentary films -
Cowspiracy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1RwURQV1ro
Earthlings - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibuQ-J04eLQ
The above two movies enlighten us through a different perspective to address important issues in ethical, moral and rational terms. The discussed problems are universal and topics are applicable to most humans as same issues exist in most developed as well as under developed countries. As global citizens, all of us should be concerned towards conservation of our planet which includes nature preservation (including good treatment towards other species - animals , birds both domestic and wild) and environment protection. -
Compare with separating immediately like your typical money minded diaries this process is not a cruel one... Please stop by your own country dairies and see the situation... Both Mom and young ones are in real stress... Please try to change that hardcore cruel process, before blame others...
