Merino sheep shearing, Australia.
A 150 year old Australian shearing shed, still using classic hand shearing and quality wool classing methods to produce super fine merino wool fleeces for the international fashion trade.

How long does it take for a sheep to grow all that wool again?
-
The sheep look like they know that they will be comfortable when they are clean and shaved...

I'm writing on behalf of Meghshala (meghshala.org), an NPO based in India, working to introduce multimedia driven lessons in low-income government school classrooms. Could we have your permission to use your video titled 'Merino sheep shearing, Australia'' in one of our lessons? We would greatly appreciate it!

Sheep are good girls.

Thank you for sharing this video! I'm making a culture video which introduces unique occupations around the world like a wool classer and wondering if I can use a portion of your video clip for it. I'd like to use the part from 01:13~01:28 where a beautiful woman checks the quality of the wool.
The completed video will be uploaded on a website where only Korean teachers can access and share teaching materials for free. The video will be only used in the classroom and I'll be very glad if I can get your permission. If you have any inquires, please contact me at yuni0808@gmail.com. Have a nice day~ :) -
They are cute sheep

They are so cute with their new haircuts! WOOL is the greatest textile! Nothing beats it. Now we need to utilize hemp as well and get back to our roots.

The only wool I will buy from is when they stop trying to freaking rape the sheep.
-
I will always buy wool. If the sheep don't get sheared they die from heat stroke. They are not like cats and dogs that shed. It also is a renewable natural product that keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

This video must have found its way into a few tossers backyard toilet homes-away-from-home looking at the responses from some bellyaching boneheaded dipsos viz. "The OfficialX, Never Again, Kristaps and Shane. It's not a great video, sure, on shearing, sure but it's of interest and would give people who are not cretins like the four aforementioned some idea of some of the things involved in shearing and the processing at the shed. There is a WHS issue however...Anna pushing the fleece into the wool-press whilst the press is actuated....just not good practice and quite unnecessary.I've handled all these roles at shearing and sure the music could have been better left out and explanations to the young bloke on staple length, strength, and other important issues heard by us but then. .it's not my video production. I raised the WHS issue only as it's important.
