medicinal plant garden and centre, india

In this video of our trip to the medicinal herb garden in Tamilnadu India, we learn more about how the centre is an important resource for students. We visit a small temple housed within the centre grounds which houses a representation of the ancient doctors of Ayurveda. We also see ladies from the local community making intricate jewellery using rice husks. it's small projects like jewellery making and buying back the fruit from local growers to turn into medicine to be sold on creates jobs for the local people and enables to centre to also grow by putting the profits back into the centre.
