Get one of those hobbyist 'Drone Copters' and attach your Go-Pro camera to it, to take those massive 'aerial' video-shots. :)

This COULD actually have some pretty bad unintended consequences. If too many rice farmers decide that it's more profited to farm solar energy, there could be rice shortages in the future!
-
I don't know. At first you'd think this was an awesome idea. But then when you said they replace farmland with these it got me thinking. After all, not only are you trading food production for energy production (and it's an uneven trade at that) but you'd also have to make sure that nothing grows here or it might block the panels.
Well, I guess there's no perfect solutions, huh? -
Seeing the land prices in Japan, I am amazed that this is viable.
There were so many spaces in Japan where you could have mounted solar panels like on car parks, houses, stations ect. I'm wondering if you couldn't cover all the train tracks above the power lines with solar panels (and wind turbines underneath that use the wind from the ever present trains) -
With so many 'mountains' they should put those on the western facing side. Because that they have found, that peak power demand is from 3-4pm till about 8-9 pm, when everyone gets home, and western facing ones get the most energy from the angle of the sun as it sets. I would also look up Archimedes wind turbine as one for home use. It is a brilliant design, works at as low as 1-3 mph winds, is silent and unbelievably efficient.

clean power and no noise

That's a big wish of mine, to go solar. If I ever get enough money I'd want to go completely off grid. Alot of the smaller solar kits are getting more affordable but I'd want to still run a tv and microwave plus a fridge of course :)

I was actually thinking if they use such big places for nothing but solar panels, wouldn't it be better i they used a Solar power tower? its a big tower and around it are mirrors that can rotate with the sun they shine the heat to the tower and it can power turbines and heat water,i think that might be easier, cheaper, and more efficient :/
anyone a opinion?(did i explain it right btw) -
Japan has so many flat roofs it appears. Why waste so much land?
-
They're a blot on the landscape. But on the positive side its about time the Japanese started looking seriously at alternative Green Energy especially after the mess of Fukushima. Wind, Solar and Wave power have got to be the way forward. Though I don't expect much in that direction from the Abe government
-
Shooting it on such a grey day doesn't fill one with hope about such projects.

I need one of those for my roof

Praise the Sun!

We really need those nuclear plants back online and stop importing coal.
