February 2013: Planning documents published by FishyLeaks reveal the depth of Marine Harvest's disease and parasite problems at their "organic" operations at Clare Island in Ireland. Marine Harvest's mort mountain is now so high that that they have applied to excavate a reservoir to treat infected farmed salmon for Amoebic Gill Disease. In February 2013, Marine Harvest presented their Q4 2012 financial results which detailed losses due to Amoebic Gill Disease. Marine Harvest's disease crisis at Clare Island, which produces 2,500 tonnes of 'organic' farmed salmon annually, comes as the Irish Government is ploughing ahead with a 15,000 tonne 'organic' salmon farm in Galway Bay despite mounting community opposition.
