Manila Ocean Park Tour Overview Attractions Shows Qurino Grandstand Manila by HourPhilippines.com
The Manila Ocean Park is the Philippine's first world class marine theme park and oceanarium which opened on March 1, 2008. It is owned by China Oceanis Philippines Inc., a subsidiary of China Oceanis Inc., a Singaporean-registered firm that has operated four oceanariums in China. It is located behind the Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park. In terms of floor space, the 8,000 square metres (86,000 sq ft) oceanarium is larger than the Sentosa Underwater World oceanarium in Singapore, and features a 25-metre (82 ft) underwater acrylic tunnel. Manila ocean park is an integrated urban resort with marine life attractions and aqua-themed hotel, the park is geared towards an all-year, all-weather destination for locals and tourists. Attractions include the oceanarium, sharks and rays encounter, mermaid swim experience, trails to Antarctica, jellies exhibit, fish spa, glass bottom boat ride, back of the House, Birds of Prey Kingdom, acquanaut encounter with sharks and rays, sea lion show, symphony, bird show, and penguin talk show. The main attraction is the Oceanarium which is home to 14,000 marine creatures from around 277 species, all indigenous to the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Its sheer size and diversity makes it one of the world's best public aquariums. The Oceanarium is a stunning walkthrough of the watery depths featuring seven sections and containing 1,900 cubic meters of seawater. At the heart of the Oceanarium is the main attraction - a 25 meter long, 220° curved walkway tunnel with a spectacular underwater view of amazing sea creatures swimming overhead. The water source for the Oceanarium is filtered water from Manila Bay. A special process is done to ensure that the seawater is suitable to marine life. It has an educational activity area, unique function rooms for special events and bi-level shark and stingray viewing facilities. Make sure to allot 1 whole day to enjoy this theme park. Sana babaan ang entrance fee for students and children senior citizen, para makatulong sa educational experience ng mga bata especially sa elemementary level...hindi kayang ma avail ang entrance fee lalo na ung mga bata sa public school...

Walang sinabi ito sa laki ng Resorts World Sentosa, Sentosa, situated in southern Singapore which is a 8-hectares (20 acre) park and houses two attractions, the S.E.A Aquarium and the Adventure Cove Waterpark, and features the LARGEST oceanarium in the world. So who should I believe when you say that MOP is larger than Singapore's park? Duuuhhh!
It is great that we have our own oceanarium but the description in here should be changed and updated since it is outdated and tends to lean on false advertising and mislead would-be visitors with wrong information.
