MAN WEARING DEAD MINK CONFRONTED BY ACTIVISTS
At Surge's (surgeactivism.com) London Fashion Week anti-fur demonstration, a member of the public paraded around with an entire dead mink over his shoulders. He refused to watch the footage of fur farms and shrugged off what he did see. Every member of the public I pointed the fur item out to was disgusted by it and and voiced their shock and outrage. There is a misconception that fur consumption is declining when, in fact, it is on the rise. The number of designers who use fur has dramatically increased, climbing from 42 in 1985 to approximately 500 today (FICA). FICA also asserts that 55% of the people who buy fur today are under 44, dispelling the myth that fur is primarily consumed by older people. The production of fur is responsible for 50 million deaths every year, these animals are anally electrocuted, gassed to death or have their heads caved in with metal rods as they are the most inexpensive forms of slaughter and stop the fur from being damaged. The animals also are often skinned whilst still alive - it is not an exaggeration to claim that the fur industry is one of the worst on the planet. In China, the world's largest fur exporter, cats and dogs are also used. Slaughtered by the millions and sold in the West where it is mislabelled so people think they are buying the skin of one animal when in fact it belongs to a dog or cat. This means that millions of fur items sold in the West are actually the furs taken from dogs and cats. The production of fur is also incredibly damaging for humans and the environment as harmful chemicals are used to stop the fur from rotting, consequently this can lead to illness in the humans who handle the chemicals and also dangerous water contamination and other environmental degradation. In essence to wear fur means that not only do you believe that you are better than the animals that are murdered but also the humans and the environment that both suffer as a consequence of the fur industry. People used to be terrified to wear fur on the streets for fear of embarrassment by vigilant activists who would not stand for these atrocities. This has to be reintroduced, people need to feel ashamed and fearful of wearing fur. Calling people out on the street is the most effective form of activism against the use of fur by the public and if we ever want to abolish it from our streets this is what we have to do. We cannot allow society to normalise the use of fur and as such, we have to make sure that those who wear it are educated about what they are wearing and if they still don't care they have to be confronted. If you disagree with this form of activism against fur then watch these videos and then you'll understand why it needs to be called out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLcgxIGTFRs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__0dbq9dkPI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avXwGAp0Onc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDwMeUNcimA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xKbldQmMqM Support my activism by becoming part of my Patreon team! ➞ https://www.patreon.com/earthlinged e m a i l ➞ earthlingedward@gmail.com i n s t a g r a m ➞ @earthlinged t w i t t e r ➞ @earthling_ed www.earthlinged.com www.surgeactivism.com 101 REASONS TO GO VEGAN! http://bit.ly/1wEdBQn

I'm not vegan , I'm trying though.. but I'm always against animal testing and using animal leather because so extreme .. skinning animals alive is so sick.. testing chemicals and makeup on animals sounds so stupid in 2016 . I wish the world could be more civilized.. we are not cave people anymore

Its not uncommon for people to wear animal hides. People who live off grid away from technology, they wear the hides of animals they've hunted for food. Even the farm animals some people sacrifice for food to feed communities are not wasted and is used to make clothing for people to wear. Veganism is a choice, not an act. (Look up some interesting nature videos about Deer eating meat. An animal believed to be a herbivore, eats meat. Look up "Deer eats Squirrel" and "Deer eats Bird".) You have no say in how things happen, only in how you live your life. Sure, there are bad people out there who mistreat animals, but you don't need to throw propaganda at the consumers. Its not their fault some people mistreat animals. Most of the businesses who sale any animal product, they don't know what happens in supplier facilities and they can't be bothered to stop and look because their hands are tied running their own businesses. Not to mention suppliers won't let them see most of the time and they can't just assume that what someone off the streets shows them is true without legal proof. Most businesses are stuck in legal binding contracts with suppliers and can't just end a contract just because of what someone showed them on a video or a picture. It can be a costly mistake for them if they did that. So the point being, instead of attacking the consumers and the producers, take the issue to the suppliers.

if they are going to protest get your facts right it's fox not mink

That "thing" is the most vain, superficial gay man I've seen. How dare he parade around wearing the fur that belonged to another sentient beings body. He has his head far up his arse he's never seen footage of how the animals live lives of torture then finally suffer a death beyond imagination. He's a contributor to it, he has blood on his hands. Ed went too easy on him here, I would have knocked the fairy out so hard it would've pull him back inside of himself.

It's in situations like these you have to think to yourself, "What would Ace Ventura have done?"

You are f__king awesome!

SO FREAK WHAT!!!! Genesis 1:26-27. Man was given dominion over animals. The bible says that in the last days men would be lovers of creatures rather then lovers of God Almighty Himself. You guys are OFF!!!! I'm sure you probably feel it's ok to abort babies too!!! Go sit down somewhere and get a life!!!! Do something that will impact your life now and for eternity..repent and confess Jesus Christ as Lord of your life and use your energy to tell other people about Jesus Christ as the true and living God and Savior of this world. He created a Eco-systems that is designed to keep the world in balance. Wake up!!! There will always be life & death. It is by design.

I can condone only one type of animal killing.....the killing done by the last few remaining tribes. They don't go out with guns killing as many animals as they can and it's always a fair "battle".....no special weapons, just who's the smartest (either animal or human) is going to win. But the rest of the world has no excuses....we have thousands of options and only because something has always been this way, doesn't mean is the correct way....millions of animals die for no reasons.....Tonnes and tonnes of meat is thrown away by restaurants, supermarkets and houses making the killing absolutely meaningless. I'm not able to go through the meat aisle of the supermarket..... I can really smell death, blood......and I can hear the horrors and pain they went through and seen that we have options, I see all meat eaters really lacking empathy.

Funny how we only want to save the cute animals.

keep up your brilliant work ed. i used to think i was alone and that there was no hope for animals. But looking at your videos made me realize how many of us there are and how strong we are, and that encourages me to never giving up! ☺

I think this whole approach was wrong - he clearly understands what he is wearing was an animal, it once had life and it was killed for fashion , he accepts that and willingly so. I think animal rights campaigners need to target the disassociation most people have with everyday products being a byproduct of an animals death - be that leather sofas, suede shoes even most wines and sweets.
I am not vegan or vegetarian , I partake in hunting, shooting and fishing - clean, humane kills and show the animal great respect for giving it's life , using every part, ensuring minimal to no waste. 90% of all the meat i eat has been killed this way- it infuriates me, when meat eaters try to pretend what they are not eating is an animal.
