poor fish :-(
-
Great system except that I would point the filling spout against the side of the tank for less stress on the fish.
-
sir water colour lite blue? why?

I wonder what kind of yummies are growing on the floor ...

I do not like it, is too fast, as in their natural habit they do not get such a crazy stream of water with such a force, I do not see the difference in fish quality if they would leave the water until the tallest fish start turning side ways a little bit. HOWEVER, when I see the results IN PERSON it gets me thinking. I live in south florida and there is a discus breeder, he does the same thing, water changes until they get almost flat, and those discus are A+ beautiful, and he has reputation for many many years, do not believe me? check the dude's page https://www.facebook.com/WattleyDiscus

fish get used to what not. if they got used to the aquarium.... a sprayer would be a lot easier people. what makes me curios is what kind of water is the one they're using to fill the tanks!!!

Water quality, ph, temperature etc. can be same and perfect. It won't change the reality. Reality is this is a torture. Imagine you staying in a room that 10 people smoking. Your air is very dirty. Not good for your health and comfort. And suddenly they suck out all the air on the room. And they pump super clean and healty air with airjets directly to your face. After this ducking and pumping torture you will have great clean air.... I prefer smoky room...

Wow could imagine the fatalities they get from the sheer stress of their water changes O_O and to top it all off, some sod was lighting a ciggie right next to the tanks...
-
Those jets spraying on sensitive fish like Discus can't be good. Its not gonna kill them but it damn sure is stressing them.
You would think they could splurge the 25 cents a tank and get a nozzle to make the spray come out on the glass instead of on the tank bottom. -
This is how to grow large, healthy discus-- never let waste products build up in their water. They aren't being stressed at all. The new water is the same temperature, pH, hardness, etc., as the old water. Dirty water is what stresses discus.
All good fish breeders make very large, very frequent water changes. It's time to retire the old myth that large water changes are bad for fish.
I'd love to be able to do a complete water change on dozens of large tanks in under ten minutes. -
those things are huge

It seems extreme to me.
