Love You Through This- {Chapter Two: He's Not Himself..} About two weeks had passed. It was a Tuesday morning when China and Olive walked into the the ANT Farm together. They see Fletcher laying on the couch that was in there. He had a hand held to his head. "Fletcher?" China said, concerened. It was unlike Fletcher to get sick, they had never seen him sick. He looked up at them, he didn't look that sick. "What's wrong?" Olive questioned as her and China sat beside him. "It was just a headache. It went away though." he said, trying to force a smile. "Are you sure? You look like you need to go home." China asked, and also suggested. "I'm fine China." Fletcher said as he stood up and walked to grab his bookbag. "What's wrong with him?" Angus asked, as he walked in and saw Fletcher looking like he was very sick. "We don't know. He said he's okay." Olive answered. "Well, Fletcher's never the one to get sick." he said. "We know." China answered as she stood up. The bell sounded and Fletcher looked at her. "Ready to go to first period?" he asked as he tryed forcing that smile again. "Yeah." China said, still worrying about his health. Something was up, like she thought before, Fletcher never got sick. But, they both made it to first period on time. Through the day Fletcher tryed acting like himself but it just wasn't him. His smiles faded away and coughs came from him like a wild animal. He said his body was getting weaker and weaker and at most points he couldn't even stand. China, Olive, and even Angus worried for him all day. His skin then started to turn a slight pale. And around twice he had thrown up, once in first period and again around lunch before he could even eat.. By this time, it was seventh period. They all hung around in the ANT Farm for free period. Fletcher layed back on the couch, rag on his forhead, and his eyes closed. China looked at Olive. "Does he look okay?" she asked the one simple question she had been wondering all day. "No." she replied. China sighed. "He keeps saying he's alright.. But I know he's not." China said to her friend. She was becoming worried. "I know China.. And I think he'll be just fine." she said, not really knowing if he would be or not. She sighed once again. "China, don't worry." Olive spoke softly. "He's one of my best friend, I'm going to worry Olive." China said, in a sort of harsh tone. Olive just leaned away in her seat. China frowned, "I'm sorry I said it like that." she said. "It's okay." Olive said as China's head was layed on her shoulder. Olive rubbed her back. "He will be okay.." Olive whispered. "Fletcher?" China spoke softly. They weren't to far into seventh period at this time. She saw his eyes slowly open. "It is time to go home?" he asked her, in a very sick and weak tone. "Not yet." she replied to his simple question. He then slowly sat up, letting the rag fall off his forehead and into his lap. She then sat beside him. "Are you okay?" she asked, once again. That question was asked to him about all day by tons of people. Before he could answer, he let out a couple of coughs. "I'm fine China. Probally just a little cold." he answered, baring through a smile. She just pressed through a smile also, just for him. She looked down on his body. A few bruises were on his arms that weren't there before. "Where'd that come from?" she asked, refering a to pretty big bruise on his arm. He looked down at it, shrugged, and answered, "Not sure. They've been appearing a lot of me." China just looked at his body. Bruises were on his arms and legs, none looked bad. Just little one's like you would sometimes get from a pinch of some sort. After about another forty minutes, the bell rang. And as Fletcher stood up China had noticed a few things. His stomach seemed smaller. It appeared like he was losing weight. Was he wanting to? He didn't need to. He was already small enough. She then stood up after him. Her arms wraped around him, in a hug. That made Fletcher really smile. Her arms around him always made him feel better. "Bye." she whispered in his ear. "Bye China." he replied back to her. "See you.." he started, then pulled from their hug because coughs were coming along and he coughed. "Tomorrow." he finished. She just half smiled. And he left out of the room. But, what any one didn't know was that he wouldn't be at school tomorrow. Everyone would wonder, but would they get the answers to their question soon enough? Or would it be late?
