I received some white teas (Silver needle and white peony), but when I make them, they just taste like... well... leaves. No different than if I grabbed a leave off one of the plants in my garden and drank tea from that. Am I doing something wrong?

Wondering if the severe pollution in China is effecting quality of tea? It would be very, very sad, since tea is so tied into to Chinese culture and has been for thousands of years. Makes me mad that psychopathic CEOs don't care one bit as long as they get that money.

Good question. Maybe because Buddhism has been in China long enough to be part of its seminal mythology. ?
-
wait why would buddha be said to find it first if he was from India and tea originated in China?
-
No, it is not a myth. Most of the caffeine is released right in the beginning when the water is pored over the leaves. it is a part of the tea steeping.
-
hi guys at 3:50 does she say that it removes some of the caffeine? if so, how it is possible? is it just a "myth"?

Oolong and black teas are oxidized through fermentation. Oolong is the trickiest because it has to be oxidized exactly the right amount...
