Today is the big day I'm loading up the incubator I bought from China, here is the link to the seller's eBay store. http://stores.ebay.ca/Agric-Farming-Equipments So far the incubator is running perfectly hopefully it keeps running that way and I don't have to take advantage of the spare parts I purchased as a safety. Today it's the Pekin's turn to free range and they are waiting to be set free for the day. Dug is so good he waits for the ducks to come out of the pen, he doesn't rush in and freak them out. Sort of a mini morning rush with the Pekin ducks today. Egg recon today dug came into the old drake shed where the Pekin are staying to help me with egg recon, he gets the broken eggs and so far his fur is getting really soft from the addition of eggs to his diet. On the way out of the pen after collecting the Pekin eggs Dug went back into the pen to bring to my attention a Pekin egg laying on the rocks, this dog is amazing if he isn't watching the ducks in the bush or helping me herd them back into the pen he's now finding me rogue duck eggs during the duck egg recon. So the Pekin ended up giving me 31 duck eggs in total which is pretty good for 37 females, but I honestly think I've got some free loaders that aren't producing eggs for me. The Rouen female ducks came through with 19 eggs for 19 female ducks so that is excellent egg production, the Muscovy females came through with 9 eggs so they are at 100% production. The inside of the barn and shed is so clean now the ducks are in egg laying mode, they aren't defecating in the barn or the shed, actually the only feces inside is from the chickens. Total egg recon today was 59 eggs, more eggs for the incubator egg trays 9 trays @ 63 eggs total of 567 going into the incubator plus 12 goose eggs, a good start to the duckling hatching adventure on YouTube. Before I load the incubator up, I'll decided to show you how the egg trays move it's really quite simple but effective. So much easier than last year and doing it by hand 3 times a day. I'm keeping the Muscovy eggs separate from the other duck eggs in the incubator because they take 7 days longer in the incubator compared to other duck breeds; I've got one full tray of 63 Muscovy eggs for the first hatch of ducklings. Exciting stuff is now on route with the duck adventure. 13:21:16 --------------------------- - Help Feed The Ducks ---------------------------- Donate or Subscribe via PayPal to help feed the ducks on the Duck Adventure on YouTube with this link: http://www.50DucksInAHotTub.com You can also help feed the Ducks on this YouTube Adventure by purchasing your own pair of PivotHead HD Video Glasses using this link http://pivothead.com/products?a_aid=52d86bb18c650 Or become an PivotHead affiliate dealer & still support the Duck Adventure on YouTube by using this link to sign up to become an affiliate and earn commission on referrals http://pivothead.postaffiliatepro.com/affiliates/signup.php?a_aid=52d86bb18c650
