Villagers derive entertainment from having killed a stray leopard in their mustard fields. They beat it to death and eve in death, they keep hitting it with sticks, in order to derive some strange morbid vengeance on the poor beast which was panicked and attached a farmer, as it felt threatened and cornered. After killing this beautiful animal, these Indian villagers from Hapur in Uttar Pradesh drag its body through the fields, showing utmost disrespect to a dead animal and triumphantly tom-tom-ing their 'achievement'. Human - animal conflict situations in India seem to be on the ride, as habitats shrink and human populations grow perilously close to wild animal habitats, and wildlife conservation becomes the victim.
