Hi Everyone!!! The footage for this video was taken over an 18 month period. My instructional growing videos are NOT "click bait - How to Grow" videos. I don't walk outside with a transplant in hand and read what I found on the Farmer's Almanac website. Haha - yes there are MANY You Tube gardening channels who do this. I will show you real footage from my home gardens, my experience growing a specific plant. I show you planting from seed, feeding, harvesting, problems I have had, and how I use it in the kitchen. I use lemongrass for my asian soups as well as to enhance some of my mixtures for tea! THANK YOU so very much for creating and sharing this excellent educational video!

You mention being able to use the leaves in tea and to cut them off, tie them, then hang them to dry (if not using a dehydrator). When doing this, do you need to wash the leaves first? If so, do you kind of rinse them all together as a tied bunch or what?

How often do you need to water the plants? I live in Central California, where it gets very dry in summer and autumn.

We freeze the blades too, tie them up with its own blades. Freeze for cooking in soups.

I love lemongrass in homemade chicken soup. 1-2 3" inch lemongrass stalk pounded lightly with meat tenderizer and a few kaffir line leaves in 2-4 litres water, fresh veggies and chicken.

can lemon grass grow in a cold country? What is the coolest temperature does lemon grass can tolerate?

I have one that I was given in a small pot and it is dyeing back. Do you think it would do better in the ground even though I have clay soil. I don't usually grow anything on the ground other then roses that don't mind the bad soil. Love your videos. Thank you.
