Learn Italian Pronunciation - Lesson 13 - How to roll R in Italian - Proven exercises that WORK!

1. You are an absolute godsend! I'm just now getting it, albeit poorly, but with practice I'm sure I get the hang of it. I also found drinking a bit before trying helped out immensely with relaxing my tongue, but that might just be mental.

5. I am so close to just dropping italian. My teacher presupposes us to roll the r and makes us repead words if we don't, but no matter how hard I work on it it wont work. I watched your video quite a few times and even though sometimes i feel like i'm close to rolling it i will go back to the english r that very moment. I just can't find anything that works for me. Any last tips?:(

7. It was so great! I had so much confidence...Italian words came out that I was shocked I had remembered. Our waitress spoke Italian and she was very sweet. I ordered everything in Italian and told her about my studies. She said my Italian was very good and that I had a cute accent! All the credit goes to you, Manu! GRAZIE MILLE!

9. Hello! Can you help me? I can roll my R, but I can't say it shorter. I mean I can say rrrrrr, but I can't say just r. What should I do?

11. But where does the R-sound come from?
    
    When I get my tongue to vibrate behind my teeth there is just the sound of vibrating air :D It's impossible for me to do my usual R sound from the throat at the same time as vibrating the tongue. I have gone over yout alphabet video, esp where you say "Don't worry about the (rrr) sound" and (rrr) definitely have a sound there - I think, or do you actually say "re"? Does R always need a vowel to get some sound?

12. I can kind of do it but I'm also not sure if it actually sounds really weird to other people (since your voice sounds different in your head than in real life) It kind of sounds like I just have spit in my mouth D: The only word it sounds decent on is three. It's easiest on ri and hardest on ro, surprisingly. I kind of say a d/r sound while doing it but it sounds way better than before. Can't do it for more than a split second though. I'm also moving my tongue from the back of the teeth to the arch and I don't think that's how you're supposed to do it but it's the only thing that's worked for me.
13. Does the air flow from the side like "L" sound or the front? I think i am close, but not yet
