Large Scale Graphene Oxide Production Method
This is a method taken from the paper 'Massive Production of Graphene Oxide From Expanded Graphite' by Ling and Bunshi in Materials Letters Vol 109, Oct 2013 if you want to look it up - so, it is pretty up to date. It is supposed to be a scaleable approach to the large scale - that is industrial process - for the production of Graphene Oxide and if done properly it very probably is as it is quite a safe reaction as far as GO reactions go. Anyway - I like it - a lot and I am probably going to make all my GO this way fromnow on - or at least until i find a better method as the search goes on. Still, I know a lot of people are looking for a large scale method to make GO and I thought this might help.

Would it work/be advisable, to use a magnetic stirrer? On any or all of the steps? Thank You

You should cover your floor in pillows encase you drop one of those glass beakers.

You should speak more clearly.. And not as fast.. You're explaining things to people, or at least maybe you should write down a summary of the experience I don't know? But if we want to follow your steps but don't understand what you're saying it's going to be hard..

I am in my facilities today and your G playlist is my entertainment.......

what is the difference between graphite oxide and graphene oxide?
-
I wish you had shown a characterisation using Scanning electron microscopy picture. That would have been more convincing to the knowledgable viewers.

I've been doing a lot of research in regards to how graphene oxide is made. I've stumbled upon a few articles explaining how scientists have extracted graphene oxide from coal. but nowhere can I find which process this is done. is humic acid apart of this process? specifically from leonardite coal. I'm at a loss, any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your time. -
thanks! for real...best channel ever!! i consider my self your apprentince. Thanks again.

For the beginning it worth to show at least one usage what can be done with it.

Hello Is it possible the use of sulfuric acid

i thought graphene was one atom thick?

Hey Robert, can you do more microscopic work inside your videos? I'd like to see the structure quality under a microscope.

Robert is that the prof Petrik thing?

Can you use distilled water instead of de-ionized water?

What exactly is the purpose for graphene oxide? What do you do with it? Does your wife know what you're doing when she's not home? Ba! Ha! Ha! It's like watching a culinary program using dangerous and highly volatile chemicals! Love watching you cook!

I just found the graphene videos to be a mess.
I Got no clear definition of quality nano size usage methods oxide or graphene ..
Its like a maze totally hopeless if you ask me. -
Robert, if it pleaseth thine master, I'd like to start by saying your videos have been really interesting to me. I wish, however, you had stirred this for half an hour on camera, because that'd mean that if I pressed the 'report' button some poor Youtube employees would have to watch... the... entire... video... and then do nothing because they found nothing. Better yet, I could still make a twenty-four hour long video of you stirring.

Hai,can u please tell me how to prepare graphene solution from the graphene powder and which is the best solvent

The filtration step can be a nightmare even with large 12 cm (45um) nylon membranes. The next time I make a batch I will try drying the stuff in an oven before filtering/washing. Thanx for the video.
