KTDA encourages farmers to venture in variety of tea types

The Kenya Tea Development Agency has embarked on a plan to encourage farmers to venture into alternative tea varieties. Kenya’s tea sector has been dominated by the black CTC variety that accounts for 99 percent of all tea produce and sold leading to glut in the global tea market.
