there is a feather removing machine which easily does that job for you. It shouldnt be expensive

I dip the ducks in cold water, then hot water, then I feather them. I use the down for pillows: The best!

what kind of fence you are using?

Is there a machine that you could put a duck through that would make quick work of processing those downy feathers?

I think the turkeys are narraganzet.

@tenmilechicks I think the yellow/white duck breed shown here is what's called the Pekin (but Aylesbury in the UK), and they are primarily for meat but do lay well. The predominant breed for duck eggs is called the Khaki Campbell, which has various brown colors.
