In Oklahoma for sale is this 1970 Power Shift Diesel with only 5,700 original hours. Runs great all around and shifts perfect as does parking brake . Start excellent and power steering works perfect right from the start up unlike high hour models which take a while for sreering to kick in to the right. Hood is perfect and rest is all very straight and excellent. Dual Hydraulics Remote sets and JD top link too. 90% rear 18.4x34 rice tires and they do have a lot of weather checking which hopefully you'll see in the pictures. 60% Fronts 7.5x18. New seat too. Also yesterday my customer said except for the tach and trans. light or gauge he thinks most of the gauges aren 't work including fuel and temp are not working. He got it from Arkansas and for the last 6-7 years it has hardly been used at all. It has sat out a good deal of it's life it looks like from the dash picture as that is all original. The last people in Arkansas 2 years ago put in a new disconnect clutch, regular clutch and pressure plate, redid the radiator, new injector pump, starter and batteries along with some more minor updates. One time when starting it when test driving it the starter didn't kick in as the video shows and that hasn't happened before. PTO goes off and on fine. 3-Point stays up if parked in that position. No leaks and very dry underneath. Hood has not been painted and is perfect but looks like someone painted most of the bottom many years ago. He has owned several new generation tractors and says this one operates all very good to excellent all around. I asked about rust and no bad rust just normal surface rust but one of the lower fenders has some holes and bubble rust. One fender has some holes from a radio or umbrella. Both fenders are bended some on top by the round part of the fender. He is pretty sure the lights don't work but we can re-check that too. Owner does put a disconect swithch on every tractor he has just to prevent fires or whatever. Also that he installed that double Step he made for it due to his health problems that last year and that come right off with loosening some bolts if you wish. He paid a estimated over $600 in parts and labor to get the rear wheels heated, etc. to be loose again and new bolts and that on this and another tractor he had and he said he never wants to do that again but the new owner will be very glad that has been down. 3-point arms and adjusters turn free too. He started this 4020 the other day after sitting 2 months and it started immediately. Motor, injectors, pump and everything else works perfect or great. Power shift works perfect -- he really likes the 1970 and older Power Shifts as they were adjustable which he prefers. 71-72 were not he says. Serial # 236968. $12,000 obo. Robert at (512) 573-8359
