A group of farmers have created incredible artworks in the rice paddy fields in Japan. The huge 3D designs have been created by planting different coloured rice plants in the fields, which then grow to create into incredibly detailed masterpieces. Rice art first began in 1993 in Inakadate Village, using rice to recreate everything from pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Star Wars characters to this year’s depiction of popular Taiga Drama, Sanadamaru. Some of the designs are 150 metres tall by 100 metres wide and take weeks to create.
