Japan Radiation - Are You Still At Risk?
It's hard to believe that the Japanese Fukushima radiation disaster happened nearly four years ago. But to this day, on our Ask A Nomad Community, we still get our fair share of questions about Tokyo as a potential radiation hazard. So we decided to make this video graphic to explain the true dangers of radiation in the region, and the results might surprise you. Watch and help dispel the myths by sharing with all your friends! If you have any more questions about Japan (or any other country) you would like answered, then why not tap into the travel knowledge of over 72,000 travellers? Ummmm did they mention what happens if you breath or ingest radiation in your body? The dose may not be 1 sivert have a long period of time when the particles are lodged in your body,

Here's a good question: Should Japan be responsible economically for damaging the planet in such a serious way?
Motivate and explain your reasoning. Do you have a better idea? Mention it. -
To ANYONE thinking of travelling to japan, I've made several points on other comments in the video that might make you rethink doing so. Also I suggest you check out THIS VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs9yD7jneRY and you can draw any conclusions you want on your own. But that being said, Japan's lack of proper response to the event is possibly worse than the event itself, because we could see level of radiation that could affect us, and maybe even cause mutations and birth defects for generations to come, GLOBALLY.

I believe scientists who say, that any level of radiation affecting the person above the accustomed background level is unsafe, period! So, ain't no such thing as "elevated levels of radiation within a safe range''! No trips to Japan, no cars or any stuff imported from Japan. There is enough polluted crap surrounding us as it is.

This guy has no idea what is talking about, currently all of Japan is radioactive , in simple term going to Japan will increase your risk of getting cancer. Everything is affected by radiation the whole Japanese environment is radio-active. The longer you stay the more radiation your body will absorb. Nuclear energy is dangerous, Japan is now condemned let this be a lesson when you let government build a gigantic bomb under your feet.

feel good animation, no sold.

"in Tokyo." Okay... what about Tohoku or areas closer to Fukushima? -_-
-
Before trusting people saying "it's safe", inform yourself: "Tokyo should no longer be inhabited, Japanese doctor warns residents regarding radiation" http://www.naturalnews.com/046112_radiation_Fukushima_Tokyo.html

never visit Japan.the air in Japan is radioactive.I will choose Korea,China,Singapore,Hong Kong or Taiwan instead of Japan.

Wow, what a terribly misleading blanket statement.

URGENT READ THIS & PREPARE TO SURVIVE! North America is getting closer and closer to a Russian or terrorist nuclear conflict every day. Those that want to survive the radioactive fallout better be prepared to be able to flush the radiation from their contaminated bodies! When this happens it will be far to late to take potassium iodide which must be taken before a radiation exposure and even then it will only protect your thyroid for a mere 24 hours. The smart detox should be with ZEOLITE the natural micronized mineral for human consumption that will safely remove the radiation and heavy metals from the body after exposure! Every family should be detoxing the radiation and heavy metals already accumulated in their bodies and they should also be storing enough zeolite in preparation for a coming nuclear event to protect the entire family so they can survive! For more information on nuclear fallout preparedness and toxic heavy metal detoxing, see the website at http://www.removeradiation.com

Wow. This explained nothing. The radiation problem is getting worse! We have several tons of contaminated water sitting in poorly crafted tanks on top of a hill. It's a ticking time bomb. And that's only one part of the issue
-
The problem is not the radiation that you are exposed to by breathing in the air. The problem is the radiation that got into the water and the sea in Japan. I have no idea whether its safe there or not since im not a scientist but i am pretty sure that all that radioactive material, that got spilled into the ocean is not the best thing that could happen.
-
Sry but this is just bullshit and blinding for people. The danger isn't in the "Air", It's in the water and food! The Ocean is constantly filled with radiation..Its going to the clouds - rain - fields - animals and people eating this stuff... THIS will make u sick!

Oliver Barrett, starfish are not/have not been dying off Hawaii, it was the Pacific Coast. But that has now been traced to a disease, nothing to do with Fukishima. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/scientists-solve-mystery-of-west-coast-starfish-deaths/

For those who want further clarification about this topic, i'll refer you to this article written by our Travel Safety Insights Editor Phil Sylvester. We have also cited our research sources in the video description.
