In 5 years we could have each town generating 30%+ of its own energy from roof top solar. This would eventually allow us to generate enough solar energy to shut down fracking, coal, oil & atomic energy. Decentralization. This would shift energy income to home owners with solar. By building one new solar powered home in each town, we could build them in an old section of town, with a green belt vegetable farm built around it, where there are no trees to shade the roof. Decentralization. This would create new solar powered homes and a new vision of how to shut down Diablo Canyon, since each neighborhood would now be generating its own solar energy. Once we achieve each city generating 30% of its energy from solar it would be easier to eliminate fossil fuels.
