While walking in the Japan countryside I discovered a cleverly improvised water hose used by village farmers.

Firemen around the world us a similar hose to fire wild fires near lakes. They also use these in swimming pools around residential areas.

Very cool use of a siphon, I assumed it was being recycled through the river, but I thought there was going to be a pump running somewhere. Awesome !
