I live in Hawai'i and i have 2 tea plants in my back yard we use tea as medicine. The first tea is mamake and the second is kokolau these tea are very light and sweet not bitter like a traditional black tea. We pick the leaves green and dry it in a box. we don't grind the leaves we boil the leaves whole. These two teas help with diabetes and cure all kind of things

He's in error to say that that plant is the only plant suitable for tea. America actually has a native shrub that carries the highest volume of caffeine of any known plant next to coffee beans. It's called the Yaupon Holly (illex vomitorius), and it's been cultivated by Natives for as long as their culture has existed. They used the leaves to brew a thick stodge that they would imbibe during a purification ritual, and it would make them vomit, thus purging evil spirits and impurities. Obviously no one is going to drink that, but it makes a good, strong tea. As strong as coffee. I know for a fact that there are a number of family plantations that have sprung up in Florida, Texas and Louisiana. If you live in the south you probably have them growing on your land. No need to import invasives.

Charleston, SC, is such a great place not surprised they grow tea there. Even Bill Murray lives there.

America the continent, or America the word people mistakenly use to refer to the USA? Because the map at 1:11 leads me to believe you're just dumb.

Ehh.. there are different classification of tea.. 7 if you consider flower tea as well.. Green, White, Yellow, Black, Oolong and Dark Tea.
Also, although they all come from camellia sinensis, there are different varieties within the same species. Some of them are short bushes, ie. it doesn't grow higher than 4-5m even after a few hundred years. Some trees like the Pu Er Trees are tall varieities and can shoot up to a 20-30m or even higher. So it's not really the same just because it's the same species. -
Garbage tea, bagged bullshit
