5. This is sad and disgusting. I would hope these are animals bred in captivity for this, just for the fact sable have been hunted for centuries for their pelt and scent glands, and it's taken a huge toll on their population. At least if these were captive bred there wouldn't be as much pressure on the wild sables, as inhumane and despicable this is. Fur farms where I live (where mink, marten and fox are farmed) at least take the animal's health and general well being into consideration, and if conditions are poor the farm and the people who run it could end up in a lot of trouble. I understand we need certain types of animal farms—not fur farms really, but those for meat etc, but if you're farming animals, why can't people just at least make the conditions for the animal healthy?

9. What is disgusting is not this but hypocrisy. People only sees the bright sight of things yet they did not want to admit there's always two-faces to a coin. The present is already so much better than those days. Humane treatment is not a right, but a privilege given and decided by us for we now have the luxury to do so. They are but our own selfish justification.

The world's perception is that the only people who care are tree hugging vegans but to see men play God & breed these beautiful LIVING creations, keep them in such distress only to have their skins ripped off and their insides thrown away like they are nothing more than a 'product' is absolutely wicked. As long as the greedy rich man gets what he wants, he gives no thought to how or what happens in the process. All the fur coats in the world couldn't hide an ugly unrighteous heart.

    This ill-informed (you'd expect a broad knowledge from a reporter, wouldn't you?) so-called Reggie Yates has seen nothing yet, if he is truly shocked by these conditions. The worst part is: he's willing to openly contribute to a perpetual sabotage against one country and its image, just for the sake of politics and personal career-wise gain, in clear total ignorance of what's going on in other parts of the world, BUT I am sure that he will not in fact go home to the UK with a changed heart and actually be a better human himself in regards to eliminating exploitation and inhumane animal farming. He is merely "shocked" for the sake of the camera, and as soon as it turns off he'll turn the blind eye to worldwide animal cruelty, because ignorance is more convenient.
    
    In reality everyone is saddened and appalled when confronted with how low the human species has sunk in regards to the treatment of other species on this planet, but no one is willing to switch to a vegan diet, ditch the leather shoes, belts, wallets, bags, furniture etc., etc.... And even if we went ahead and did that - where does it end? What defines animal cruelty? What about the poor Greenlandic sled dogs starving to death, because the Arctic ice is melting (ironically, a result of global warming, which is proven to be highly influenced by cattle farming for all your hotdogs and steaks) and the fishermen and seal catchers can't go onto the thin ice and earn their bucks, so they don't have the means to feed their loyal, starving sled dogs... But also, on the days they do get out on the ice - then, what about the poor seals being speared for the sake of their meat and skin? What about the vast amount of cultural conditioned traditions worldwide with bizarre and cruel tendencies towards animals? Animal mutilation and sacrifices? Or, to take a more "daily life relevant" example; should greedy dog owners be able to keep arctic dog breeds in tropical or subtropical climates? Why is it not considered animal cruelty to force a dog with a fur coat that can withstand temperatures as low as -60 degrees Celcius to live in areas such as Thailand or California, USA? That is torture to breeds such as Greenlandic sled dog, Siberian husky, samoyed, Alaskan malamute etc.. Dogs do not perspire - they do not get rid of excessive body heat very effectively and can easily and suddenly die from overheating. Pets can't tell you in human language that they're miserable. With today's knowledge on canine physique; why is this not an animal rights issue? Is it not sufficiently "shocking", sufficiently sensational, sufficiently visually violent enough to get enough attention and become a serious issue?
    
    Where does it end? Where do we begin, at all? What's the point in sharing sentimental thoughts with strangers on the internet, instead of acting locally and progressively? If everyone took a proactive approach to their local animal rights issues (for example, Brits could start by ditching mass production of their famous cultural dishes consisting largely of eggs, ham, sausages, bacon, milk and whatnot, to save millions of miserable, diseased, stressed out lives within the animal food industry), the world would be a hundred times better place within a year. But we don't. We close our eyes to our own fault. We point fingers at the barbarians "over there" whilst perpetuating our own barbaric ways.
    
    The fact remains: human civilisation, technology and overall globalisation has reached a point at which - in by far most parts of the world - we do not need to kill and keep animals to survive. We truly don't. Our existence no longer relies on animal products to feed and clothe us, on animals to work in crop fields or provide transportation for humans. But ignorance and human greed keeps animal abuse alive and well. It's just the nature of the human being. We're selfish. Some of us mean - and do - well, but there will always be individuals to do harm for selfish, bizarre reasons.
    
    The only thing we as humans can do to truly rid the Earth of animal cruelty by humans, is to go extinct. On that day will all other species finally reclaim their natural animal rights and live under fair, natural circumstances. Until that day, humanity is the grotesque and merciless God that reigns over the animal kingdom.
