India tea workers decry exploitation
Despite being part owners, many employees of Amalgamated Tea say they are still living in absolute poverty. Many people who work in India's tea industry complain that they are not being treated fairly. The World Bank has authorised an investigation into labour and human rights violations at Tata, the owners of the Tetley Tea brand. Al Jazeera's Faiz Jamil reports from India's Assam state.

I still dont get why Al Jazeera din't call the cops when the guys on motorcycles supposedly stopped them from filming the interview. It makes me wonder if this whole story was setup to feed foreigners what they want to hear from a country like India rather than whats actually going on.

That's funny. I work for a food company, and the primary clientele who buy Indian teas are Indians.
