Indian police discovered what has been dubbed a ‘baby farm’ in the city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Wednesday, arresting five suspects, including the manager of the private hospital and parents who bought babies. Footage released shows two infants who were found at the hospital. According to the local police authorities, the babies who were a result of a rape or an unwanted pregnancy were sold to couples for an amount between $750 and $1,500 (€662-€1,324). The five suspects who have been detained are facing charges up to 10 years for selling people as slaves.
