In Pursuit of Happiness: Working on a Horse Farm in Winter
About 15 years ago, my wife and I decided to start up a horse farm. We thought it would make us happy. It usually does, but winter is a difficult time on a farm. Here's a small sample of what it is like to work during January on our farm.

"A man's true greatness lies in the consciousness of an honest purpose in
life, founded on a just estimate of himself and everything else, on frequent
self-examinations, and a steady obedience to the rule which he knows to be
right, without troubling himself about what others may think or say, or
whether they do or do not do that which he thinks and says and does."

Bless you for uploading this. You are a lucky man, I've been dreaming about owning my own horse farm/equestrian centre for some time now. Fortunately the place I have in mind doesn't have the extreme weather. Mind if I ask how many horses you have? And have you thought of getting some horse diapers to ease the manure cleaning chore? I thought about inventing such a thing but someone's already thought of them and several type are available. Also known as horse manure catcher or horse nappy. Look it up.

WHY
-
do you breed horses, stable them, or? not sure what you mean by horse farm.

Thanks for the upload! I love it, as I was brought up on a dairy farm way up in the catskills, GREAT pasture, 250 head count and EVERY morning, EVERY evening, EVERY day this must be done! Snow up to your crotch, rain puddles you may fall in and never return - worse, manure piles you may fall in and no one will ever see you again! (horse and cow are different), but the manure has to be spread and you gotta pick it up with a bobcat......Thanks for the upload. Good luck and God bless!

Really Enjoyed this - thanks for posting. I've always worked in a professional office setting, and find posts like this intriguing and in many ways, therapeutic.
