Improving Mental Health and Addiction Services on PEI

Minister of Health and Wellness Doug Currie recently announced new investments in mental health and addictions services to provide Islanders with better access to the care and resources they need. Approximately $1.2 million was invested by the Government of PEI to address concerns of rising prescription drug abuse and appoint a new provincial Chief Mental Health and Addictions Officer charged with developing a long-term provincial strategy on mental health and addictions.
