In Michigan we like to harvest the dune thistles, our hogs will eat any scraps of the plants however they seem to be getting harder to find.

Can you send some seeds to me here in India?

You're mad, brave and wild...I like the way you and your dog eat the plant. Really!
-
what part of the plant do you use to make tea?
-
Wow another great one. Learned a lot. Very involved example of processing. Appreciate it. It's one thing to point at something and say it's edible.. it's another to show how and what to do to properly harvest it. Thanks!

Hey, since watching your video, I decided to let a couple of thistles grow in my yard. As they are maturing, I'm seeing a much squattier look with lots of blossoms (though they haven't bloomed yet). Have you seen this before? They're in what I would consider ideal conditions, with plenty of sun and rich soil. I'm in the Pacific Northwest, btw.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that most plants that have thorns/spikes are edible. Typically, plants that use a thorn defense do not have a chemical defense.
Question, can those seeds be ground into a flour? -
Where is this harvesting taking place? Is it really wild or planted grown wild?
-
not knocking your thistle but there are thousands of great plants we can grow for food.
-
now does american or canadian thistle still have the same properties, that is what i have on my property here in the nw.
