Hydroponic Greenhouse: Tour, Potato Reveal, and Old Rice Hulls
This update of the hydroponic greenhouse shows where I consolidate everything into 3 FAWN platforms and close down 3 for the winter. I also plant 2 varieties of peas into 5 containers. They are Oregon Sugar Pod and Sugar Snap peas. Lastly, I do the final reveal of potatoes from the potato tower. Hope you enjoy and as always please like, subscribe, and comment. My name is Brent and I live in central Arkansas. Love to garden and dabble in hydroponics--Drip Systems, Deep Water Culture Systems, Self Watering Containers, & modified Rain Gutter Grow Systems in the greenhouse. A big part of it is experimentation. I would love to hear from you. Join the conversation and share who you are here with me! Hi Brent, where do you get seed potatoes from late in the year?
-
Hello Brent. Nice potatoes. I have 1 small pot that stopped growing a few months ago but I have not dropped the pot yet. I will drop it next week and hopefully the potatoes (if there are any) will be sound. Might eat them, might keep them for seed, depends what we get. I will try and make the video a bit Christmassy, perhaps a song and dance from Molly and me. HGV

Hello Brent, nice update and lots of learning to get the quantity you require.
😆 Happy Gardening, Terry. -
That last top bucket, you shoulda kept it separate and weighed it. It looked like a great haul and exactly what your looking for. I'm looking forward to the new heated space GH. Will it be ready soon? Will you try another batch of winter corn this year? Cheers, Bill

Much better harvest brother! Everything is still looking good in the GH but yeah we know whats coming for ya. Can't wait to see the heated one fired up and going. Going to be 16 here Thursday night with a high of 32 for Friday. I am so doomed! On a good note I'm sitting here eating fresh fried green maters for supper. Yummy! Keep up the great work my friend.

You just gave me another good idea! Create a stock room that I can plant out in when all or most of the hydroponic containers are coming out for spring. Melons and/or pumpkins would be good, since they like the heat and can wait. Of course still leaving room for access and excess pots. Good job on the potatoes. I'm going to make soil bins from free pallets.

Do those potatoes taste as good as they look?
