Hydroponic Cabbage - Yes You Can !
I've been growing a lot of leafy greens in the hydroponic setups. And some folks were wondering what else could be grown. Specifically... could you grow cabbage in a hydroponic setup, using either the Kratky method or the floating rafts? The answer is, yes you can. But if you're gonna do it in a tote or container, it needs to be about 10 gallons for each plant. Even though I had a less than ideal container, the cabbage still turned out great. In the floating raft setup, the cabbage did a little bit better. I would definitely like to have a lot more hydroponic cabbage. Also, just for comparison, I'll show you a cabbage that was growing in ground. It was amazing, an absolutely perfect plant. http://www.facebook.com/mhp.gardener

Did you plant all 4 plants at the same time?

Love all your videos you have done a great job are you still using the masterblend, for your hydroponic set up and is that the same solution and dilution for your tomatoes and other things I am referring to your lattice comparisons for side-by-side lettuces ?

Sounds like the water boy

sir is it true that every vegetable has its own npk? so if you try to grow a tomato you must know the required npk of it..or are you using a one solution for all of your vegetables? I think one lf the secret is the solution if you want to be success on that

Fantastic video , thanks for the very useful comparison. I'm inspired to try the Kratky system. Maybe kale and some Kale and lettuce to start with. Much appreciated.

How often do you change water?
-
why do you cut the cabbage and leave the roots. After cutting it, can it be grown back with the same roots...?
-
what do use for you solutions

looks like loose heads though. Some plants need soil resistance.

Love your videos, filled with lots of useful info. Wanting to start a garden, but we dont have a rotatiller yet, and cant afford to do a raised bed, what would be some good tips to prep an area for our garden? Might have to break out good old fashion hand tools and just do it I guess.
Area is loaded with grass, hard soil...wanting to do the bucket system, but may have missed it this season. -
You could have lied, you know, instead of showing everyone that the "kratky" method isn't all that great. Lol
