Minneapolis-based Ryan Companies is requesting a zoning change in Brooklyn Park that could lead to a business park and Hy-Vee grocery store. The Astra Village site near Highway 610 and Zane Avenue is currently vacant farm land. In a letter to the city, Ryan Companies says it has an agreement with Hy-Vee to develop and build a store on the site. The grocery store would also include a restaurant, gas station and car wash. More detailed plans for the Hy-Vee store and business park are expected in the coming month. Ryan Companies has been busy with development along 610. Located west of this current proposal, Ryan completed the Olympus Surgical Technologies building that was expected to house more than 300 employees. 12 News Staff http://twelve.tv http://www.facebook.com/12localnews http://www.facebook.com/12localsports http://twitter.com/12sports http://twitter.com/12localnews Learn about our mobile app - http://bit.ly/CH12app Channel 12 is on Comcast cable in the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis and includes the cities Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, New Hope, Osseo, Plymouth and Robbinsdale.
