Hundred dollar lawn tractor, an economic protest
I bought this broken lawn tractor for 100 bucks a couple weeks back instead of buying a new one. Sure those Chinese tractors in the big box stores are beautiful things indeed but I haven't had a raise at work for a couple years now and prices are still going up. The only way to continue to live well is to supplement my earnings with value that I create outside of the economic system. To do that I grow a garden and fix things when they break. I saw this chance to buy this lawn tractor for a rock bottom price so I did. It's both a protest of my gradually decreasing earning power and a way of adapting to an economy that's getting more shitty every year.

Hi Vention! I wanted to show your subscibers as well as yourself this tidbit about feminism and how far it goes. So I am referring you to this video by The Young Turks. Cenk is very far to the Left, but even he is flabbergasted by this woman's conduct toward her male employees. Put this on the YouTube search line:

Good show man, save some money with know how and knowledge .

I've bought second hand all my life. China, silverware, crystal, jewellery, gadgets (with a few exceptions) furniture...and I paid off all my mortgage on my last place and saved money. I am now buying a luxury apartment in town within walking distance of work (no petrol and taxes). It's so well put together that all the fittings and appliances will last years. I also plan to pay that off ASAP. The reason why I can afford it is because I am MGTOW.

It's not quite right to say that banks create money by issuing loans - they have capital, surplus and reserve requirements to meet and they basically lend out a proportion of their deposits. But I digress. You've got it exactly right when you say we're all facing a continuing decline in our standard of living. But the point I want to get to is that if you talk to people who lived through the Great Depression they'll tell you everything was cheap as hell but nobody had any money (cash) - so a man with even a little bit of cash was a king. I agree with you that we're headed for some sort of reset; but when it starts to kick in seems to be a long way off yet.

Cool video Venton...

You're my hero. No nagging whore just living the life. I can't wait to get my 40 acres and a mule lol.

It's that spark of joy, free will like a kid a see in you and other men that feminist want to destroy. It's the spark of masculine energy they want to switch of in men starting from little boys. That's why when men are happy, excited, some people don't like it.
-
Wow you sound really excited. Like a kid. Awesome.

Interesting video Vention.. the more you use your utility for yourself, the fewer hands the fruits of your labor pass through, and the less the vultures/parasites of our gov't system are able to live off your hard work.
This should be a core concept of MGTOW. -
Excellent you got lucky my friend!

Great video, and great message. I'm going in that direction myself, cutting back on spending to pay off debts and build up self-reliance. But of course the govt doesn't like that, since our economy is kept alive by people spending more money than they have on useless shit they don't need...

Vention, you would be a great contributor on BobistheOilGuy, which is a site about motor oil mostly, and it also has forums about maintenance of engines, cars, trucks, and stuff like that; if you ever want to go there. It is run by great mods who allow no trolls or flame wars, though they do not like political discussion.

Vention, I agree with your practices and follow stuff like that as well. I use things up and calculate what is economical on everything. I have an old car & keeping it in good shape saves a lot of money versus a new car; no debt, and try to give as little to The Man as possible. I can live on much less than ever before. Your advice is awfully good. A lot of people live with flash, bling, debt, & have no happiness. In the Depression and the War, people did fine by being self-reliant like you do. Watch the insanity of Black Friday, and see people who are dogs & slaves to consumerism.

You're doing it wrong- you're supposed to be having a beer while at the wheel :)
That being said, getting new is only good for the long haul. Getting used is for a long enough haul for the cheap. I had a $1,400 car that lasted me 6 years; I now have a new $23,000 car, but that damn thing's going to last me 30 or 40 years :) -
Great work Vention
Been doing that sort of thing all my life. Divorce strip me of a big chunk of the benefit. But hey. Only took 5 years to get back to where I was. All down hill and easy from here on out .... -
Now all you need to do now is grow some side burns and lose a little weight. I recommend a used treadmill. 20 minutes a day fast walk and you should lose about 20-30 pounds in 2 months.

$100 bucks??? Freak'n Screaming Deal!!!
i bought a new self-propelled, push-style, mower couple months ago for more than 4x that price!!!
Happy to report that the motor is a USA made Briggs & Stratton, which was a key reason for buying that brand. -
Nice Moustache! I'd like to see some girl get a lawn tractor like this and fix it up. I hope girls get karma one day - when men stop doing anything for them.
