Great video! Can you tell me, is it safe to eat the leaves or stems of garlic? I know that some plants are dangerous to eat the stems and leaves, but perfectly acceptable to eat the roots (and in other cases the "fruit"). Also, I noticed you showed the picture of one type of garlic species leaves, but not the other 2; do they look exactly the same? I call them different species, but I might be incorrect, but you mentioned 3 different types of garlic and that's what I am talking about,

Those green stalks that grow out of the garlic are called garlic scapes and they will flower and rob the garlic of nutrients if left too long but are essential for their maturity are amazing and can be cooked the same as green beans except they taste like garlic. Just saute with salt and olive oil for pure awesomeness. -
