I am getting ready to paint bar stools and a bed and dresser. Do I need the primer, or can you just to an extra coat of the chalk paint. Also, last time I painted a dresser, I just used the clear wax to finish it. Does the Poly-acrylic work better than the wax?

Here's a newbie question: I know you use Fairy Chalkmother often, but can you add baking soda to regular paint? I saw that on pinterest. #ytmm love PS, when I finally refinish something, I'm going to vlog it! yay!
