This is our version of instant icecream. I’ve seen it done with a sheet of glass on ice-cubes, but this method works for us. Our piece of stone is an inch thick – it’s heavy. It needs to be thick to stay cold long enough to work on a warm day like today. A metal spatula or knife works – or even a paint scraper.. Many thanks for Daniel for excellent strawberry slicing, and for everyone else for their tasting skills. Sorry there wasn’t much for anyone – better luck next time : - ) Hot tips! 1. When you make coconut icecream, try adding some dessicated coconut to the cream in the pan to moisten it first, and then some coconut milk too. 2. Dried-out brown-bread-crumbs adds a great texture and nutty flavour to a simple vanilla ice. 3. Yoghurt works fine too instead of cream!
