If you have a real bamboo you can eat it- but often the bamboo growing in people's yards is truly just an ornamental. Phyllostachys dulcis is good eating and for woody cane production.

you can bend over and shovel in front of me anytime.....hotdamn💘

Just follow a yellow people then you find bamboo...

So bamboos are over achievers and always send up more shoots then they can grow. Safely you can harvest 1/3 of the shoots without affecting the growth of your boo. Also any running bamboos can be eaten raw. I always recommend going barefoot in the bamboo - I think there is a song there somewhere :)

Great video!
Btw, how can you stand going around without shoes outdoors? Doesn't the grass and critters deter you? -
I wouldnt think so, its pritty hardy. Just dont take too much at any one time and you should be right. :)
