Curious ... what about the stalk of Turmeric? Can you use it as a tea?

How do you get the plants? From seeds or from one (or more) roots?
Can you grow themindoors too, in a place where there s not much sunlight but warm?
Also, can you eat the leaves (You suggest to roll things in them)...but do you actually eat the leaves? Thanks -
3 years ago I was given less than a 12% chance of surviving the night at one of Australia's largest hospitals. I had a cancer scare. I immediately began putting turmeric in everything I could. Within 3 months, my doctor said a miracle happened - my body healed itself. He wanted to know what I'd done to turn my health around. I know it was because of the turmeric. EVERYONE should include turmeric in their diets - it is a miracle food & I am living proof :-)

No part of turmeric plant is wasted except its roots. In South India especially in state of Karnataka (Mangalore) we prepare sweet steamed rice delicacies by filling it with turmeric leaves. During the season which is around end of August, turmeric leaves become expensive than turmeric itself.

We Malays use turmeric leaves in many of our daily cuisines, especially Rendang. YUM!

Great video! Yes, tumeric leaf wrapping makes for great flavor. We also throw it in the rice steamer halfway through the cooking process- it imparts a very nice flavor.
