In my previous comment,
I failed to correct my sentence.
"It won't be due to lack of care"
Once again, I'm in full support of Big red Farm and have the upmost respect in terms
Of their horsemanship and Ability to market I'll have another to be as commercially successful as he can be.
In America, although I Australia, I don't believe his pedigree warrants enough, for him to stand competitively in America.
Especially with the amount of stallions that stand in your country, his race record warrants respect, but commercially from pedigree point where most people select from, he may lack slightly?...
In the first generations.
I've noticed a large majority
of your stallions stand a lower prices even those who are blue blooded.

He doesn't look in peak condition, but for the fact at the point of time he had only just left quarantine, he looks reasonable, not to mention that quarantine takes a lot out a horse.
And being still in racing condition, obviously he is a slow developer as stallion yet to get that wonderful neck and crest most stallions get, but then again he may not, not all stallion's develop that.
Any one who follows racing would know Japan has made massive steps in the breeding industry globally. As has their racing stock home bred's such as Gentildonna, a Group one superstar, even their second tier's such as Hana's Goal is good enough to win competitive international group ones.
Japan is a leading vendor in global breeding they will treasure to have another Kentucky Derby upon their shores, any one remember a horse called Sunday Silence?! Who thrived.
He may not thrive, but don't be took quick to make judgment upon an industry that prides itself upon integrity and the welfare of their horses, if he doesn't do well, it be due to lack of care.
And yes I have worked with racehorses, before someone attempts to tell me I know nothing.

"happy happy happy" WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!!! If she thinks he looks happy she knows nothing about horses!!! He looks completely pissed and miserable, not to mention the fact of how amazing of a horse he is. He would have won the Triple Crown if his trainer hadn't gotten in trouble and if his team hadn't broken the rules. Ya we all know about that!!! It's soo freakin' stupid!!! If I had money I'd buy I'll Have Another and make sure he gets back to America and is happy.
-
UGH this seriously hurts my heart. The horse doesn't look so thrilled to be where he's at. They sold the horse to the highest bidder. I'm sure Big Red Farm is a great stable farm but I'll Have Another needs to be in his home which is America. Hopefully he will be back.

"he's happy,,happy,,happy...." - are you joking?? if he was on the other side of the fence he woulda kicked the photographer in the head,,,sad - great horse as such home away from home - commentator- why don't you move to Shigeyuki Japan and let us know how YOU like it,,, pffffft - band wagon - commercialized jerk offs

Have thought about this horse and worried about how he would be treated in Japan. Much to my relief, it looks like he has a beautiful home and is fed and hopefully well-treated. Like another comment that was made....I, too, remember what happened to Ferdinand and am praying he doesn't fall prey to the same fate. I'm still disappointed that he didn't get the chance to prove he could be a Triple Crown winner. What a loss!

Every horse adjusts to new surrounding this is normal. Plus, this horse has been racing and is now retired. He has to adjust to being a breeding stallion, instead of a race horse. It's sad that he was sold but no one would meet the price requested. This sport is about money now, not the pride of breeding quality animals.
-
Agreed...anyone with any horse experience knows this horse is not comfortable or happy. He is nervous and looking for his herd mates. Shame on the racing industry for taking so much from these extraordinary animals and shipping them off like a commodity. We can only pray that he doesn't end up like Ferdinand...a Kentucky Derby winner who ended up in the Japan glue factory because he couldn't reproduce. God blessed me with 3 horses and I will be their caretaker until the day I die.
-
He doesnt look happy, he looks and sounds PISSED! wth is he doing in japan?!
-
Is anyone else having flashbacks to another Kentucky Derby winner sold at auction and shipped to japan?
-
I just have one question what brought to your attention to bring him to japan ? :)

The videos of I'll Have Another are fabulous, Kate. You did an excellent job filming them. My favorite video is the one of IHA running in his paddock. He's used to attention, and he looked so happy seeing photographers and press again. He was showing off and prancing in front of the cameras. It was so adorable! He looks like he is adjusting to his new home well. I hope he gets a best friend soon. And I hope they love IHA and take care of him very well at BRF. He deserves that.

The commentator would be me. haha Stallions can't have company in their paddocks. But he has two paddocks on either side of him, and a horse across from his stall and next to it. He has "friends". Though Mejiro Bailey seemed like a bit of a attention hog haha

Thanks!
-
Is his leg healed?????
-
The commentator says he looks happy. To me, he looks frightened and lonely. I hope they find him some company.
-
He looks so excited! I hope they take good care of him
