Read The Health Benefits Of Red Sumac Berries: http://healthywildandfree.com/this-so-called-poisonous-berry-is-actually-edible-nutritious-and-free Follow On Facebook: http://Facebook.com/HealthyWildAndFree I recommend this stevia: http://amzn.to/1ra0enX Red sumac berries are vitamin c rich berries that grow in many areas of the world. Their harvesting season is late summer or the fall, a good amount of time to harvest them (3 months or so) They are red in color and grow in clusters. I've also heard people say they grow in Maine as well, I'm sure they grow in many northern states. They also grow in the winter time. Red sumac berries are okay to consume whereas white sumac berries are poisonous. These berries are great for the kidney health, they are an astringent, anti-septic, tonic and great for the body in other ways as well. They are said to be rich in antioxidants even though there isn't science to prove this yet, but based on other berries most of them are rich sources of antioxidants so this only makes sense. Can you use the dried berries for tea...like late in the fall/early winter when you see these pods on the tree when the leaves are falling off and after they have fallen? I use them in my Smoker when I work in my Bee hives...it makes heavy, cool smoke as well....

Actually, they aren't berries at all. They are classified as drupes. And the cluster of drupes you see on the plant is called a sumac bob. There are also 3 kinds of sumac berries... poison sumac, staghorn (which is shown in the video), and smooth. Please know what you are talking about.
